Hey SAVANT! welcome to today’s episode of “Admission Guide Series“, here you will know the University of Ibadan, UI stance on using two sittings for admission into the different departments (Medicine, Law, Pharmacy, Nursing, Accounting, Dentistry et al)… STAY TUNED!

In one of my recent episode, I explained how combination of result (two sittings) is done, and highlighted Universities that currently accept two sittings for admission.

But the thing is, although some schools accept two sittings (WAEC & NECO or NABTEB), it is not always for all courses…

So, two sittings may be accepted for Law, Accounting and some other courses, but may not be accepted for Pharmacy and Medicine

Does UI Accept Two Sittings?

Yes, University of Ibadan accepts two sittings for admission.

If you have below credit (D7, E8 or F9) in a subject in WAEC, another result (NECO or NABTEB) may be presented to compliment it.

But like I mentioned before, accepting two sittings in UI is not for all courses…

List Of Courses That UI Accepts Two Sittings For

The University of Ibadan (UI) accepts five credits at one sittings or six credits at two sittings in the following faculties/departments…

• Agriculture and Forestry
• Arts
• Education
• Law
• Science
• Technology
• The Social Sciences
• Veterinary Medicine

Courses That UI Don’t Accepts Two Sittings For

1. College of Medicine
   • Basic Medical Sciences
   • Clinical Sciences
   • Dentistry
   • Public Health
2. Pharmacy

So, if you intend to study Pharmacy or any of the courses listed above in UI, you cannot use two sittings.
