Is There A Deadline For Accepting or Rejecting JAMB Admission?
Yes, there is a deadline to accept or reject admission on JAMB CAPS.
This would imply that, if after this date, you are yet to decide if you want the admission offered to you or not, the admission would be automatically lost. Not so good right?, but that is how it works.
Deadline For Accepting Admission On JAMB CAPS
In 2019/2020, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, announced that all student must either Accept or Reject the admission offered to them on JAMB CAPS within 48 hours (two days), failure to comply would lead to student forfeiting their admission.
But guess what?, this did not actually hold water that same here, because weeks after the announcement, JAMB came out telling student they can still accept or reject admission on CAPS.
What finally happened was that, a general date was then released for all student, warning that all student must ACCEPT or REJECT their admission, on or before the released date. But same have not been done for this year JAMB 2021/2022
I always advise student to make sure that you accept or reject your Admission on JAMB CAPS at most two weeks after you are offered the admission, but when the official date is released I will update this post, you can follow us on facebook @DrugSavant or bookmark this page to be the first to know when this date is officially released.

- Visit JAMB E-facility @https://portal.jamb.gov.ng
- Fill in your Email address and Password next and click login
- Then locate and click on ‘Check Admission Status‘.
- And HIT the “access my Caps” on the next page
- Once logged into the JAMB Caps page, Select ‘Admission Status‘ on the left panel.
- Locate and click on the ‘Search’ button in front of your JAMB Registration Number to load your profile.
- You can now accept/reject your admission offer under ‘Admission Profile’.
That’s all, yes, it is that simple.

First of all, congrats on your 2023/2024 Admission… After been admitted to your school of choice, you should do the follow.
- Print your JAMB Admission letter
- Find out cost for your total expenses for first year; Acceptance fee, School Fees and registration of course fee
- Get your documents ready for clearance (Physical and Online)
- Get ready to attend classes

Good morning sir, the school has given me admission that’s why it’s in “Admission in progress” and they’ve uploaded my name to JAMB. It’s left for JAMB to admit me. But what I’m seeing is “admission in progress, check back later.’ in my JAMB caps. I’ve been seeing that for a month now.
I was transferred from medicine and surgery to Medical laboratory science. I changed my course from medicine to Medical laboratory science (That’s how the school do it.The school is UNIZIK) i saw “admission in progress, check back later” after three working days.
