Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) uses a different method in computer student aggregate score, Unlike other Universities in Nigeria, your aggregate score is calculated in a 50:40:10 ratio…
where your JAMB score takes bulk of the point (50%), your Post UTME score takes 40% and the remaining 10% is from your O’level (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB).
The calculation is done this way👇
JAMB Score divided by 8 + OAU Post UTME Score divided 2 + O'level Points divided by 5 = OAU aggregate score
Your O’level points are calculated thus…
A1 = 10 points
B2 = 9 Points
B3 = 8 Points
C4 = 7 Points
C5 = 6 Points
C6 = 5 Point
With this method of calculation above, you can see that high performance in your Post UTM Exam translate to a higher aggregate score which in turn, increases your chances of being admitted.

Is OAU Post UTME Result Out?
NO, the results of students who sat for Obafemi Awolow University (OAU) Post UTME exam has not been released.
This means, if you sat for the 2022 OAU Post UTME exam, you will not be able to check how you performed on the OAU Post UTME result checking portal

OAU Post UTME result are typically released at most two weeks after the Post UTME exam is written.

Below are the three (3) steps to follow in checking for your OAU Post UTME result
- First, Visit OAU Student Login Portal @https://admissions.oauife.edu.ng/?lnk=login&1636564912
- Next, enter your Username and Password (Your Username is your JAMB Registration Number while your Password is your Surname)
- Then sign in into your OAU Student’s Profile, on the profile you will find your Post UTME result.
Easy right?
How Is OAU Aggregate Calculated?
To Calculate your OAU Admission aggregate Score, simply divide your JAMB Score by 8, your O’ level points by five, then add both together along side your Post UTME grade.
Here is a typical example, using DANIEL as a case study…
DANIEL had a JAMB score of 260 and a Post UTME score of 37. In his WAEC Result, he had two A’s, One B3 and two C4 in his core subject (Using the point system I should you earlier in this post, his O’ level point is 8.6.
To calculate for DANIEL’s DELSU aggregate score, we will have👇
(260/8) + 37 + 8.6 = 78.1
With this, it means JOHN is eligible to study any course with an aggregate score less than 78.1.
You can apply this to your JAMB, O’ level and Post UTME grade to see where you stand.
