Hey SAVANT! in today’s episode of my “Admission guide series” I will be providing you with NECO Timetable for 2023 and also answer some of the frequently asked questions relating to NECO timetable such as release date, how to use it, etc. STAY TUNED!

For every exam you sit for, WAEC, NABTEB, NECO or even JAMB, there is a timetable or Schedule that would help guide you, so you will be able to tell when you have your next paper and how much time you have to prepare for it.

In fact, the importance of your NECO timetable cannot be overemphasized, I have seen cases where students miss some of their papers in NECO (which is an automatic fail F9) simply because they were not aware they had paper on that day

What Is NECO Timetable?

The timetable of the National Examination Council (NECO), is a set of data usually arranged in tabular form, organized in such a way that each days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday e.t.c) is matched up with a specific subject within a particular time duration.

An example of this timetable can be seen as shown in the image below…

From the image above, you see the row titled with DATE, PAPER CODE, SUBJECT/PAPER, DURATION and TIME. With this, you will be able to easily tell when you will be having your next paper, pretty cool right?.

Is NECO Timetable 2023 Out?

Yes, NECO timetable for Science, Art and Social Science Students 2023 is now officially out.

From the newly released timetable, NECO 2023 exam will start Monday, 3rd July 2023 to end Friday 11th August, 2023.

When Will NECO Timetable Come Out?

The timetable for NECO is expected to be released few weeks after the end of registration of Students for the 2023 Exam.

Important Notes:

1. WHERE THE TIME ON THE QUESTION PAPER DIFFERS FROM THE TIME ON THIS TIMETABLE, THE TIME ON THE QUESTION PAPER SHOULD BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO.
2. FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND AUTO MECHANICS PRACTICAL PAPER I; FRENCH, MUSIC AND ARABIC PAPER IV, THE SPECIFIC VENUES FOR THE EXAMINATION SHOULD BE CONFIRMED FROM NECO STATE OFFICES.
3. PRACTICAL IN SCIENCES, STENOGRAPHY, COMPUTER STUDIES AND DATA PROCESSING CAN BE IN SETS WHERE THE NUMBER OF CANDIDATES IS LARGE AND THE EQUIPMENT CANNOT GO ROUND.
4. VISUAL ARTS PAPER IV [CREATIVE DESIGN] SHOULD BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE THE EXAMINATION DATE.
5. WELDING & FABRICATION, ENGINEERING CRAFT PRACTICE SHOULD BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES AT LEAST THREE WEEKS BEFORE THE EXAMINATION DATE.
6. NIGERIAN LANGUAGES (HAUSA, IGBO, YORUBA, EDO, EFIK AND IBIBIO) INCLUDE LITERATURE ASPECT.
7. ALBINOS AND BLIND CANDIDATES ARE TO BE ALLOWED 30 EXTRA MINUTES AT THE END OF EACH SUBJECT.
8. BLIND CANDIDATES MUST MAKE USE OF THE NECO SUPPLIED OBR CUSTOMISED BRAILLE SHEET FOR THE EXAMINATION.
9. DYEING AND BLEACHING 1B, PHOTOGRAPH 1B, PAINTING AND DECORATION 1B, PRINTING CRAFT PRACTICE 1B, LEATHER GOODS MANUFACTURING AND REPAIR 1B, SHOUD BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE EXAMINATION DATE.
10. USE OF SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR IS ALLOWED.
11. BRINGING INTO THE EXAMINATION HALL ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION GADGETS (PROGRAMMABLE CALCULATORS, MOBILE PHONES, IPADS, TABLETS, SMART WRISTWATCHES/ GLASSESS/PENS ETC) IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
12. CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT SIT FOR PRACTICAL (PAPER 1) WILL NOT HAVE RESULT IN THE SUBJECT.
