Admission into any school in Nigeria is like a tug of war, yearly, we have over a million students applying to the different Federal, State and Private Universities in the country
…and out of this number only about 500,000 students (arguably) will be given admission, what then happen to the remaining students?, they will be expected to stay at home and prepare for the next JAMB. Quite an Irony right?
To ensure transparency in admission, most schools (EBSU included) release criterial for Admission yearly, this is what we call departmental cut off mark.
Students who do not meet up with the Departmental and JAMB cut off mark for the course they want to study will not be considered for admission (at least merit list).
So now the question is, what is the JAMB and Departmental cut off mark for the different courses in EBSU?.

No, EBSU cut off mark for 2023/2024 is not out.
What this means is that, the departmental and JAMB cut off mark I will provide you here is that which was released for last year and can rely on them.
What Is EBSU JAMB Cut Off Mark?
EBSU Cut off mark 140 in JAMB irrespective of the course you applied for.
Therefore, any student who sat for JAMB UTME and scored 140 and above can proceed with the next stage of admission.
But if for any reason, you are unable to make up to 140, even with a JAMB score of 139, you will not be able to apply for EBSU Post UTME.
Is this JAMB cut off mark for EBSU the same for all courses?
Yes, EBSU general JAMB cut off mark is the same for all courses such as Engineering, Banking & Finance, Computer Science, just to name but a few.
Aside EBSU JAMB cut off mark, there is the departmental point that determines if a student would get admitted to a course or not.
What Is EBSU Departmental Cut Off Mark For All Courses
Although a JAMB score of 140 makes you eligible to sit for EBSU Post UTME Exam, it does not guarantee you admission. if you must be offered admission, you must meet the departmental cut off mark for the course you applied for.
This departmental cut off mark is not the same for all courses, the more competitive a course is, the higher the cut off mark for admission.

There is a chance of being admitted even when you did not meet the cut off mark for the course you applied for, but definitely not through merit list.
If you are from catchment area or ELDS then you still have a chance.
