By core subjects, I mean those subjects that lean directly to the course you wish to study, lets take for example Pharmacy as a course, to Study pharmacy in any University in Nigeria (like UNIBEN) you must have a minimum of credit (C6) in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
D7 on any of these subject in your O’ level means no admission for you.

As your O’ level result is an important admission factor, students who wish to be admitted to the school of their choice must upload their O’ level result.
The reason you are asked to submit this result now (that is before schools start releasing their admission list), is so that JAMB and your school of choice can be sure without reasonable doubt that the student that is being offered admission merits it in every respect.

Why Is It Necessary To Upload O’ level To JAMB?
It is necessary you upload your O’ level result because this will help show to JAMB that the student in question meets with the admission requirement for the course they choose to study.
NOTE THAT:
Student who do not Upload their O’ level Result (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) to their JAMB CAPS will not be considered or granted admission.
Consequences Of Not Uploading Result to JAMB CAPS
Simply put, the consequence of not Uploading your O’ level result to JAMB CAPS is that you will not be considered for admission.
This is because your inability to upload your WAEC, NECO or NATEB result to JAMB CAPS will be seen as you don’t have your O’ level result and as such not deserving of admission.
Recently, Schools like the University of Benin have come out publicly, instructing all student who choose the University of Benin as their first choice to go Upload their O’ level result to JAMB CAPS. a summary of the statement can be found below…
The board directed admission seekers into the institution to upload their Ordinary Level (O level) results at any accredited centre of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to guarantee their consideration.
The directive is contained in a statement on Monday in Benin by the University’s spokesperson, Dr Benedicta Ehanire.
The board said that only candidates who complied with the directive would be offered admission.
It noted that candidates could only be accepted via the JAMB’s platform after which the kofa page of the admitted student would be created on the official website of UNIBEN.
“Admission offer from UNIBEN can only be accepted via the JAMB CAPS, after which the kofa page of the student will be created on the UNIBEN website,” it said.

How To check If Your O’ level Was Uploaded Successfully
You can follow these steps to know if your O’ level result have been uploaded to JAMB CAPS or not…
- You will need to visit Student Login Portal @ https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility_/Login
- fill in your JAMB registration email address and password, then click on the login button
- Next, you will need to locate the “check admission Status” on the left sidebar of your JAMB profile homepage. (for those using mobile phones, you can locate this after clicking on the Menu button on top page to your right)
- Then click on the “Access JAMB CAPS” on the next page (this will allow you access your JAMB Central admission processing system).
- Click on “My O’level result” on your JAMB CAPS page to confirm if your O’level is uploaded or not. It is that simple
